T-Mobile USA was hit with a data breach class action Friday in New York Eastern District Court in response to a breach that exposed the personal information of 7.8 million current customers and more than 40 million individuals who applied for credit with the company. The complaint, brought by Held & Hines, accuses the company of failing to take reasonable measures to protect the personal and financial information of class members. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 1:21-cv-04721, Metzger v. T-Mobile USA, Inc.
