Eliot Gonshorek Esq.- Senior Trial Attorney

Eliot Gonshorek grew up in Coney Island, Brooklyn  and has been a licensed attorney in both New York and Connecticut for 35 years.

He spent the first 10 years of his legal career practicing law in the areas of commercial litigation, personal injury law, real estate transactions, and in  both Family Law and Matrimonial litigation, while working at a mid-sized general practice law firm located in Garden City, New York.

Eliot then decided to return to his native Brooklyn, where he opened up his own legal practice with his long time friend and fellow Brooklyn native, Howard Pludwin.  Their boutique law firm, GONSHOREK & PLUDWIN,  was a fixture in downtown Brooklyn for 25 years, and represented clients in all aspects of general civil litigation, taking cases to trial in State supreme courts, as well as in Civil Court, Family court, and in Federal Court.  The practice also proudly built a reputation for handling numerous legal matters in Court in an “of counsel” relationship for numerous other law firms.

When Mr. Pludwin decided to retire, Eliot, being  younger than his friend and business partner, wished to continue with his legal practice, as well as  remain in his native Brooklyn, where he had spend many years building his legal career and reputation.

Accordingly, Mr Gonshorek was thrilled to join Held and Hines as a senior trial attorney in 2022, where he can continue to conduct trials,  as well as offer to the firm his many  years of vast legal experience and knowledge.
